Objective

The objective of this program is to create a training group toward FOURmidable race, which is a very challenging event while using some of the most beautiful trails in the area. 

The race is organized by SingleTrack Running and it covers trails from Auburn and Cool. The event is set for February 18, 2017.

Our trail training program is directed to anyone that would like to tackle any of the four distances of the event, from a 13k (8 miles) all the way to a 50K (31 miles). Those interested in training for the 50K or 35K can participate in the 16 week program, and those interested in the 13k or Half Marathon can complete the program in 10 weeks. 

Our training group will meet twice a week, Wednesday's at 6pm at the store, and Saturdays 7:30am at different trail heads. During the training program, runners will get to know the course and feel comfortable with the climbs and descents. As well as any logistics necessary for an event like this while learning about the trails, equipment, and nutrition.

16 Week training program starts on October 29.

10 Week training program starts on December 7.

The cost of the training program is $75 and it includes a tech tee which will be gender specific. 

 

 

 

 

Minimum activity level

 

In order to maintain the safety of the participants there is minimum activity level set for those interested to participate:

4 miles at least 3 - 5 times per week. (Half Marathon & 13K)

10 miles for the 50K and 35K.

Ability to run at a 12 minute per mile or faster.

Experience

Twice Weekly group workouts led by experienced coaches for the full 16 weeks of training. Wednesday at the store at 6:00pm, and Saturdays at a trail head at 7:30am.
